Is your Windows 7 Sony Vaio
laptop acting weird, freezing up for no reason without the infamous
blue screen of death? This seems to be a common problem with Sony Vaio
Laptop, and no, this is not a Windows 7 issue. If the failure message as
shown in the ‘Even log’ is:
- Failed to load the plug-in module. (GUID = {56F9312C-C989-4E04-8C23-299DEE3A36F5})(Error code = 0×80042019)
And
the Provider Name is “VzCdbSvc”, this is probably due to some
incompatibility issue between Windows 7 and Sony’s own software, some
say it is because of Roxio Easy Media Creator software, the solution is
to uninstall Roxio and disable some of VAIO’s software from the bootup
list.
- Step 1 – Type ‘msconfig’ in the search bar.
- Step 2 – Check the ‘Hide All Microsoft Service’ checker box.
- Step 3 – Select ‘Service’ tab, disable all of VAIO service except for the following services:
- VSNService
- VUAgent
- VAIO Power Management
