How To Fix ‘DVD Drive Not Found’ Error For Microsoft Windows 7


Having problem with your Windows 7 DVD Driver? Windows can’t seems to find your DVD Drive? Here is a simple method to fix this common error, or you can wait until Microsoft release Service Pack 1 for Windows 7.
  • Step 1 – Run “regedit”
  • Step 2 – Browse to the following registry key “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass”.
  • Step 3 – Delete both UpperFilters and LowerFilters in the right-hand pane whereas UpperFilters.bak and LowerFilters.bak entries can be ignored.
